Mike Liddell
Chair of Governors

I have worked exclusively in co-education, comprehensive secondary schools in the Wirral for nearly 40 years before retiring in 2020 in my final post as Head teacher at Oldershaw.

The main focus of my career has been to provide ‘hands on’ pastoral support to all in my care. I worked closely with families to strive for  the best outcomes for all children regardless of their background.

All  of my schools focussed on preparing pupils for life after school,  ensuring they had the personal and academic tools, plus the aspiration and confidence needed to succeed.

I hope that my time in education has impacted equality, equity and inclusion upon the school communities I have been so fortunate to serve

I am delighted to support the inspiring work of Impact North West Schools.

I am honoured and proud to be the Chair of the Proprietor Board for Impact North West Schools. I am an accomplished senior leader with extensive experience and a deep commitment to supporting the most vulnerable children in our community. With a career dedicated to transforming lives, I have specialised in overseeing key areas such as Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), behaviour management, and safeguarding in local secondary schools. These experiences have developed my skillset and knowledge in shaping inclusive, safe, and nurturing educational environments. Before founding Impact North West Schools, I played a pivotal role in designing and implementing strategies that addressed complex barriers to learning. My leadership has consistently driven improvements in outcomes for children and young people, ensuring that every child, regardless of their circumstances, has access to exceptional education tailored to their needs. In establishing Impact North West Schools,my vision has been brought to life, creating an independent specialist provision that delivers bespoke and high-quality support. This innovative provision reflects my unwavering passion for equity in education, empowering children with the tools and confidence to unlock their full potential.

She has led on key Ofsted areas of progress, structure, and behaviour for learning through her
passion for outstanding practice in the classroom, and a firm belief that every aspect of success for a learner feeds into the quality of teaching delivered. She has created thriving Teaching and Learning communities in schools and driven a collaborative vision to impact ethos, morale, teamwork and results.

Jeanette has worked alongside many educational leaders including Peter Greenhalgh and Mike
Hughes and enjoys exploring new initiatives to enhance learning in the classroom. All of this based
on 30 years of practice.  Jeanette has been a keynote speaker and training provider both locally and nationally in several settings including early years to post 16.

Samantha Robinson

I have taught on the Wirral for 30 years as a teacher of Business Studies and a pastoral lead. I am committed to getting the best results for all children in my care, through knowing the individual and adapting teaching and support plans as needs arise. It is important to me to foster excellent relationships with both the child and their family or carers because, by working as a team, results happen.

I have experience of working for national exam boards in my role as examiner and trainer. It's my belief that to deliver excellent teaching it is essential to understand the subjects you teach and the exam criteria thoroughly.

I helped start Impact Schools  in 2023 and am excited to develop my role further as Operations Director, with a clear focus on driving the quality of our provision. I am excited to be working with a team of staff who are dedicated to improving the lives and the futures of all the children in our care.

Marion Diable

I am highly skilled and experienced business growth Director. For the past 13 years, I have headed up the rapidly growing side of Heightsafe Systems Ltd, driving growth of sales and revenue and delivering blue chip contracts to the business with a significant involvement in high level negotiations, bids and tenders across all areas of the organisation.  I was instrumental in setting up the business in 2009, and during those years employed over 150 people at various levels of skillset.  Working alongside a dedicated and highly committed team I was also instrumental in introducing additional revenue streams successfully to existing and new clients, implementation of policies and procedures, and award winning industry accreditations.

I consider myself to be IT savvy, and was able to introduce many systems and programmes to the business to provide clarity, visibility and value for money through its service offering and approach to technology.

My skillset has been best utilised throughout my career in commercial negotiations with clients and third party professionals, banks, accountants, lawyers, and government bodies.   I was solely responsible for all and policies and procedures for the business, from Health and Safety, HR and industry accreditation bodies.

I come from a large, tight night family, where Parents were Headteacher and School administration, and through my upbringing in Liverpool I was able to harness a skillset early in life to be able to teach shorthand to adults at a nightschool.

Having always had a keen interest in education, learning and a holistic approach to children’s wellbeing, the opportunity to become a Governor of this incredible organisation that cares for the most vulnerable children in our society, was one that I could not pass on.
